ID based on a previous submission:
Found nectaring at Butterfly Bush, Buddleja davidii. They were all over the place, in the park, but were too fast-moving to even focus on one, till I found this bush.

Are you sure?
I can't be of much help because I can't tell the difference between B. fervidus and B. californicus, but we should make sure that we place these photos in the right place or move them to genus level. Furthermore the pattern on this one looks different from the other one. I wish that John would take a look at this one and a few others.

 
I think names are in a state of flux
At one time, BG photos for both were in the same place; I believe this was the case before Dr.Ascher became an editor. Some background here:
