Three Lakes Wilderness Area, Osceola County, Florida, USA
Size: 6 mm
This fly almost missed my eye. They are small. I was studying the insects at the flowers when I noticed this hover fly. I didn't know what I had until it was in the net. Another record for this rarely found fly and in the adjacent county from the first sighting in FL.
