Darkly-Marked Checkered White - Pontia protodice - female

Darkly-Marked Checkered White - Pontia protodice - Female
Norris City, White County, Illinois, USA
July 10, 2007
This is the most heavily marked Checkered White I have ever seen. There's much more dark area than all the rest I see.

Variations:

Nice specimen
Love those markings! Maybe you should breed them: Pontia protodice fairhairius?

New Name
Shouldn't the new breed be called something like Pontia Grecian Formulaius? Since it's darker and all.

Quite funny
Actually, I like that better. And it's breeder's choice.
