Polistes flavus - male

Polistes flavus - Male
Sabino Canyon, Pima County, Arizona, USA
July 30, 2007
Size: large for a paperwasp
On this rainy muggy morning at Sabino Canyon I did not get to photograph as many beetles as I was hoping, but there was no shortage of hymenoptera. I very much enjoyed the flood water rushing over the bridges, though.

Polistes flavus, male (AZ)
Note that this is a male (first one of this species on BG).
