Size: 1.5"
this specimen was found dried as is on the sidewalk. One leg is sticking up at a 45˚ angle and some minor antennae damage, but otherwise perfect. I have never seen this before in my 38 years and I am ALWAYS looking at insects.

I think this is a female Ichn
I think this is a female Ichneumon wasp. Someone else will probably know more.

Thank you for trying to identify this little beauty. It is actually a female Pelecinid wasp, and I am very fortunate to have found one dried into this position. You can stand it up like an action figure and take a thousand photos!
