Horse fly - Tabanus sulcifrons

Horse fly - Tabanus sulcifrons
Fairfield, Wayne County, Illinois, USA
June 22, 2007
Medium sized. Came to my garage light at night but didn't stay long. Scanning the guide the closest I came was T. abdominalis but even that was tenuous.

Moved
Moved from Tabanus.

The wide open
1st posterior cell of wing leads me to sulcifrons; moved to page

Thanks
Tony
