Stinkbug Predation - Podisus

Stinkbug Predation - Podisus
Richmond Hill, York Region, Ontario, Canada
July 28, 2007
Correct me if my ID is wrong. I just thought I'd post this image ... it's not very good but does show predation on Trihabda canadensis by a Stink Bug. The beetles are ubiquitious on Solidago, but I don't often see them being predated upon. The Bug's proboscis pierced right through the beetles elytron. In fact, the zone around the point of penetration almost appears to be dissolving! Or is it?
