dragonfly - Sympetrum ambiguum
Busch Conservation Area, St. Charles County, Missouri, USA

Having trouble making an ID. This is the only view of this dragonfly that I have.

Blue-faced Meadowhawk
I dunno, looks like a Blue-faced Meadowhawk (Sympetrum ambiguum) to me.

Seconded
More appropriate for the range as well.

Yep
I can't argue with your call! :-) I guess I just wasn't thinking about Blue-faced in July, although I don't know why not. The blue on the face looked a bit like a photo artifact, too. Anyway, you guys are right!

White-faced Meadowhawk
Looks like a male White-faced Meadowhawk (Sympetrum obtrusum).
