One of my favorite Keys arachnids! - Stenochrus portoricensis

One of my favorite Keys arachnids! - Stenochrus portoricensis
Key Largo, Monroe County, Florida, USA
December 12, 2015
Size: ~5mm
Unfortunately I don't feel this photo does the animal justice. Even with my 100mm macro lens, these tiny arachnids are just too small to fill a frame. It doesn't help that they're camera shy! This is the best photo my camera could come up with. I found this species on Key West, Stock Island, Big Pine Key, and Key Largo, so I imagine it is now spread throughout the inhabited islands of the Florida Keys. I also found it in several places on the mainland.
