Doryodes grandipennis

Doryodes grandipennis is treated as a race of Doryodes spadaria in Lafontaine & Sullivan (2015)(1). I moved all images.

I did not create a subspecies page for it under spadaria, because they do not use the term “subspecies”. It occurs to me now that I might have made a no taxon “race grandipennis” page. I don’t know, however, if range can be used to separate grandipennis from the nominate race though I would have assumed it could. I saw nothing else mentioned which could be used to separate the races.

Should I make a page under spadaria for grandipennis and should it be a no taxon “race grandipennis” page?

BTW - Six new species in Doryodes are described in Lafontaine & Sullivan (2015).

We don't know enough to answer whether
there should be a race grandipennis page, but if there is to be one, we should just ask John VanDyk to change the old Species grandipennis page into the new No Taxon race page.
