American Dagger Moth - Acronicta americana
Bunker Hill Forest Preserve, Chicago, Cook County, Illinois, USA

We found this Acronicta comfortably munching away on a leaf of Quercus palustris, not three feet from a Smooth Green Snake resting in the same tree!
