grub became this - Monochamus marmorator - male

grub became this - Monochamus marmorator - Male
Mt. Washington, Coos County, New Hampshire, USA
Size: about 19 mm
I realized I didn't have a straight-down closeup of the pronotum, so important in keying longhorns, so have now added one.
I found it interesting that this Monochamus has pale mites and another Monochamus species I have posted, M. nota*tus, is crawling with reddish-brown mites.
