Very Tiny Bug - Dicyrtomina minuta - female

Very Tiny Bug - Dicyrtomina minuta - Female
Waretown, Ocean County, New Jersey, USA
February 23, 2017
Size: 1 mm
There were a gadzillion of these guys crawling on the exterior deck railing in the morning - then all gone when the sun really came out. They were crawling around, but would hop away maybe 2 inches when my finger got close to them. Had to take picture through a magnifying glass. Initially excited, since they basically looked black to the naked eye, but such a cool pattern evident when magnified, with hairs showing up mainly from their rear. I thought for sure I'd have it ID'd in no time - but no such luck.
Haven't found anything that looks like these guys.

Ross Hill - thank you so much for taking the time to respond. It was driving me crazy. Now I can sleep tonight.
