Sue, I still think this is Meganola minuscula but there are so many rather confusing species in Arizona, that I felt better moving this one back to Genus.

Sue, the truth is - I don't know. Check out this one of mine identified by BOLD, then look at this discussion about the defining characteristic being the size of the V's in the Median area. . I am seeing a lot of the "grainy, dark ones" here that I am beginning to think are all M. minisculas. I need to send more to BOLD to be sure.

This is the first Meganola I have even seen, so I'm OK leaving it at genus until I know more. Thanks for taking a look, Ann!

Wow, Sue. I should have looked at the range. M. spodia does not occur in AZ, so this is M. miniscula.
