Perillus exaptus Petroglyphs Provincial Park near Peterborough, Ontario, Canada July 15, 2004 Size: about 9mm
Checked this one against specimens in The Univesity of Guelph insect collection. Three species of this genus in Ontario, this one the least commonly collected, probably as it is a bit more northern in range than the other two. Other specimens of this species showed the back stripes as having more pink in them than shown here.
