I am pretty sure this is Osmo
I am pretty sure this is Osmoderma scabra.

Scarab
It's a large scarab of the subfamily Trichiinae.
In Europe it should be identified as Osmoderma, but I don't know what genus you have in North America...

Really looks like our Europea
Really looks like our European Osmoderma eremita, so I am also very curious about the Northamerican species!

Osmoderma sp. for sure
Yep, It is an Osmoderma sp.
By the ligned look of the elytra, i would say O.scabra, but i think that the given dimension are closer to O. eremicola (Wich is almost identical to the European O.eremita, but not protected).
Is the size estimated or measured.
If it is estimated, i would assume that it is slightly overestimated and put my money on O.scabra.
Those are the only beetles in this genus, that i know of and can find about at least, in North America.

Osmoderma
Size is estimated. Thank you everybody.
