Mystery Spider - Castianeira amoena

Mystery Spider - Castianeira amoena
Arlington, Tarrant County, Texas, USA
August 6, 2007
Size: .5 inches
I found two of these last summer and one yesterday. I've been searching for it for over a year now and I'm very frustrated. I took two specimens to the Fort Worth Zoo for help identifying it, one last year and the one yesterday. So far they don't know, other than it might be a jumping spider. They run up to the prey and catch it, they don't trap it in a web. Every time I saw one it was running across the open living room floor. Please help at all if you can!
Thanks,
Emily

Check out Castianeira amoena
in the guide here. Looks like they maybe come in different colors. We're not certain, but maybe Jeff will tell us more.

The first picture of those in the link is DEFINATELY it. I'm thrilled to finally know what it is!!! Thank you so much you have no idea how much work I've put into this spider!
