Some ilk of Tarantula Hawk, these are as good as it gets so I'm not expecting too much, but any help is MOST appreciated!

It will be interesting to see your ID(s) come in.
I'm no help at all in that area, but do have a suggestion for shooting next year. Now, the gals are looking for spiders and are nearly impossible to photograph. But a month or two earlier, you can probably find them feeding and arranging dates on buckwheat, where they're much easier to shoot. Good hunting! Oh, flash helps, too.
