Spilosoma congrua? - Spilosoma congrua

Spilosoma congrua? - Spilosoma congrua
Knoxville/Ijams Nature Center, Knox County, Tennessee, USA
August 2, 2007
Noticed this little guy on the ground, though I wish I could've seen him on a food plant. Unfortunately, you can't see the spiracles in this shot, and I don't remember noticing their coloration. Added as possible (if I ID'd him correctly) new guide record for TN.

Moved
Moved from Spilosoma.

I have reared
the all black caterpillar of congrua. Because of the similarity of all the adult Spilosoma I'm left wondering whether we have 2 sibling species here.
