Dohrniphora? - Phalacrotophora

Dohrniphora? - Phalacrotophora
Frederick, Frederick County, Maryland, USA
April 21, 2017
Caught sweeping grasses
Coordinates: 39.451689, -77.404536
I kept this fly in a plastic vial prior to taking these photos. Four hours later, when I was camera ready, it was dead.

Dr. Eric Fisher provided me with the names of two dipterists with expertise in Phoridae. Fortunately on June 24, 2017, John Hash replied to my help request commenting: "The specimen is of the genus Phalacrotophora. That is the best ID I can provide without examining the actual specimen. The two rows of long setae on the mid and hind tibia are characteristic of the genus."
