N. v. is a bit smaller, a bit duller dorsally, with somewhat straighter pronotal sides, and the trademark tiny black dot in the anterior corners of the scutellum

Scutellum has pale (C. hilaris) vs black (N. viridula) dot in each basal corner of the scutellum.
