Stilt-legged Flies - Rainieria antennaepes - female

Stilt-legged Flies - Rainieria antennaepes - Female
Pennypack Restoration Trust, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, USA
July 4, 2007
I hope that we can ID it a little further.

Moved
Moved from Stilt-legged Flies.

Images similar to this can be found in the guide
under Rainieria antennaepes here, but we don't know how many similar species there might be.

Thanks
Maybe you are right. But, to make matters worse, many of the images in the guide don't seem to have a firm ID, no indication of who IDed them. It seems that Rainieria is the one with a shiny thorax and there is a related species with dull one.
Probably the subfamily is pretty certain, though.
