Pepper plant bug - Doru taeniatum - Male
St Augustine, St. Johns County, Florida, USA

Size: half inch
I found a few of these bugs on our bell pepper plants. They are very shy and hide well when I was trying to capture one.
Thanks for your help.

Moved from Doru.

Definitely Doru- the black stripe down the middle shows that, especially since I can also see just enough of the feet to sort of make out the "bags" on the second segment of the toes that stick under the first one, which means Forficulidae

Earwig
This is an earwig of some kind. Try searching earwig and see if you can find a match.

Bug
Yes! I looked it up as you requested. It sure looks just like an earwig but a little different than the ones I have seen around here.
Thanks for the reply.
