Glam Rocker Moth - Acrolophus popeanella

Glam Rocker Moth - Acrolophus popeanella

Size: abt. 1/2"
I found this guy hanging out on my toolbox in the garage. There seems to be a large population of these maned moths hanging out on the walls and cars and whatever other vertical surfaces they feel like clinging to. Can someone tell me what they are? Thanks!

Moved
Moved from Tubeworm Moths.

Acrolophus species
I think; see Tubeworm Moths

Thanks!
That certainly looks similar. I'm going to take my better camera out there and get more shots, since there seem to be plenty of these guys hanging out in the garage. They all have different 'dos; this was the biggest I saw.

If correct, it'll be a BG first photo 8:)
There are no photographs of tubeworm moths on the site yet...perhaps this is the first one?

I don't know about you...
but I see 4 pages of images. Do you have it set to show caterpillars only? That can happen if you click on the caterpillar on the clickable guide to the left

Doh!
Chuck, my bad.

not a clue
what you've got, but nice mohawk going on there! Punk rocker moth, yes?
-Mighty 8:)
