Dusky birch sawflies - Croesus latitarsus

Identification

Larva is yellow-green with rows of black spots along the body. Heads of mature larvae are black, unlike the similar Birch Sawfly (Arge pectoralis) which has a dull orange head as a mature larva.

Food

Larvae feed on various species of birch (genus Betula).
