Lestes? - Lestes

Lestes? - Lestes
Barrie, Ontario, Canada

I believe this is a lestes of some sort. From what I've read it's a spreadwing damselfly. Any further help in identifying this damselfly would be appreciated (as always!). Thanks.

Yes
It is a female Lestes. These are tough, but I would conjecture that this is a Common (Northern) Spreadwing, Lestes disjunctus. S9 is no more than half the length of S7, the rear of the head is dark, and I don't see the ovipositor projecting beyond the tip of the abdomen. This is just a conjecture. I would leave it at Lestes for now and wait for more opinions.
