Fungus Beetle or something? - Mycetina perpulchra

Fungus Beetle or something? - Mycetina perpulchra
Columbia, Michigan, USA
August 2, 2007
Size: 1/4 inch
Found near the beach in a heavily wooded area. Caught my eye, any help would begreatly appreciated.

Handsome Fungus Beetle
Yes, I think it's the Endomychidae Mycetina perpulchra.

Thanks!
I'm getting better at this... :D

Cropping
This could use a lot of cropping. Remember that only you and the editors can see the full size image, nobody else can see the details.

I can try
It gets pretty blurry though if it's cropped much more than this...

Cropping not resizing
It has 2800 pixels or so in its larger side; it gets automatically resized to 560 in the guide. So cropping shouldn't affect the resolution. Resizing does that though.
