Melanoplus femurrubrum probably
I'm adding the word "probably", because I'm not certain, but I'm fairly sure it is this species. Too bad the rear end is clipped off, because in this last instar (probably 5th) the parts look almost the same as an adult in the male, and can be used for more positive identification (and this looks likely to be a male).

Ugh, another nymph! :-) Another Melanoplus sp, too. Great image, wish folks could shoot the ADULT 'hoppers that nicely (sigh).
