Moved
Moved from Spilomyia.

Spilomyia indeed, and remarkable flies!
S. foxleei is quite similar to the eastern longicornis , including the yellow maculations on the side of the thorax. There are two other spp. in BC: interrupta , and citima , neither of which show this much yellow from anepimeron to katepimeron. Thus, by excluding those two latter spp., foxleei seems a safe bet.

thanks again
I will place it on a species page.

Neat fly! A guess: Orthonevra or something like it
Based on antenna and eyes, but really just a guess.

Nope.
This is in the genus Spilomyia, probably S. longicornis. Nice try, though:-)

Thanks!
Thanks!
