Mydas Fly - Nemomydas venosus Jackson Lake State Park, Morgan County, Colorado, USA July 17, 2007 Size: 1 inch
This large fly appears to be some form of sawfly, but I wouldn't swear by it. It was attracted to a field of blooming flowers on the barren plains of Eastern Colorado, along with every other insect for miles.
