I´m not sure what species (candidates; sigmoidea, dislocata, californica)

Usually
careful about noticing the plant on which I find bugs, but not so much this time. Believe it was a sunflower, Helianthus sp. Probably a common, large sunflower since there were many growing and about to bloom soon.
