found in hallway inside house on the way from the garage to the patio. got some organizing done in the garage that day. perhaps caterpillar was in garage. 11:46pm. I originally saw it curled into a semicircle about an hour before and I put it on a plate to release it outside. This first shot is in the hallway near a nightlight. Pictures are taken with phone without overhead lighting so as to not wake anyone up, sorry.

Sorry, didn't realize we were moving those out of frass
Yes. Frass is on hold until 2.0 appears. Something in the way images will be selected to appear supposedly eliminates the need to frass. But much of what is in frass has nowhere to be placed, it's unidentifiable. Guess we'll see how frass works when 2.0 comes online. We're still frassing when it seems to be appropriate.

Frassed
Moved from Armyworms.

Frassed
Moved from ID Request.

Frassing the first two; moved the others to Noctuinae.

Frass is broken
nothing ever goes away anymore.

We know it is frustrating when you don't get an ID,
so you try moving them around to stir up interest,
but these Noctuid cutworms are notoriously difficult, sorry.
Our best guess would be Spodoptera dolichos

but we're not sure how secure you should be about that. :(

Thank you very much for the k
