Would love to know what this is. If it's a bee, I guess it's a male (from the minimal hind leg hair). It was on Sidalcea hickmanii, along a ridgetop at ~2500 ft.

neither, it's an Osmia male
in the Chenosmia group (subgenus Melanosmia sensu lato)
