Came to U/V lights at night. Believe this Staphylinid is in the Staphylinini tribe? Confirmation/correction, and further placement would be appreciated.

no, it's in a diff. subfamily; probably just a Philonthus

 
confirm Philonthus sp.
It is a male: so with aedeagus you should be able to identify it.
