This fly looks like a golden jewel from farther away . It is hard to sneak up on and get a photo and I am not sure how it flies ... hover or zoom ? It is very fast though . I would guess that it was a Deer fly , but what do I know ... newbie . I rely on expert advice for I.D. Thanks people , Beth
