Phymata nymph?
This looks different than the typical Phymata species I have seen. I am guessing it might be a nymph. Any comments from anyone else?

Yes, I was thinking that too.
It was definitely much smaller than most ambush bugs I see. It is quite different in form though so I wasn't sure.
