A neuropteran? - Neohermes

A neuropteran? - Neohermes
Mt. Pisgah Arboretum, Eugene, Lane County, Oregon, USA
July 20, 2007
Size: 65mm
This image was taken on the outside wall of the bathroom at Mt. Pisgah Arboretum, at about 8:30am. It did not move, and stayed perched on the wall for at least 4 hours. The bathroom has a bright light that stays on overnight, so this insect may have been attracted to it or the other insects that flocked to the light.

Gary

yep, a Fishfly
Thanks for helping Gary. I went to where you suggested, and a little bit further investigation led me to the Gray Fishflies (Genus Neohermes). The image here http://bugguide.net/node/view/129572/bgpage is the closest I could find, and the size seems to be appropriate also.
