Beverly Hills, Citrus County, Florida, USA

Size: w/o wings/ovip, apx 45mm
I spent some quality time with this one between 4:30 and 5 PM. She seemed to have a bum leg and was hopping in the local strip mall parking lot. I coaxed her onto my hand. After our photo shoot I had trouble convincing her to move onto foliage and finally succeeded after walking to a local pond, with her hanging tight to my finger.

Moved
Moved from Katydids. This seems like a reasonable identification, but a better nose cone shot (from UNDERNEATH) would be more conclusive (as would being able to tell if the ovipositor exceeds the length of the wingtips).
