Moth (large) - Hypercompe scribonia
Hughesville/ north of the Rt 5 - bypass., Charles County, Maryland, USA
June 20, 2017
Size: approx 2 inches in length
This striking large moth was walking around on the tire of a bicycle in the edge of my Garage last night. It was just after dusk and there were lights on in the garage. When I would get close to take the picture (Phone camera), the moth would hold still, but when I backed away it would start walking around again.
