Hi Ben, Thank you for the ID...Why is this guy not swimming? What is he doing on a pond reed?

or not about why this wasn't in the water...


I found my Notonecta irrorata about 1/2 of a mile from the nearest source of water that I think would have been big enough. A lot of waterbugs are attracted to lights at night. I think this is why I found mine where I did.

Did you know they have wings and fly?
