Parasemia plantaginis
I was wondering if you knew more about where exactly you caught this moth. I am a PhD student in Finand studying this moth and some of its southernmost locations are in the USA. For my dissertation I am looking at some aspects of biogeography and genetics in this species. I would be VERY interested in obtaining a few specimens if possible. If you have this specimen or would be able to potentially collect a few individuals in the future I would be interested to know via e-mail--> robert.hegna@jyu.fi

ID
Looks like it might be Parasemia plantaginis, MONA 8127, in the Arctiidae family. Nice photo.

Thanks, John,
looks like it, and I see that it occurs over much of the northern hemisphere (funet ).
