Size: about 8 mm
This guy looks like Allograpta obliqua, based on other photos on bugguide. Saw him today on a succulent in our garden (live oak/chaparral habitat).

Really nice shots! Looking at this one, the female, I notice that the color is less intensely yellow. I wonder if that is a sexual dimorphism, or just individual variation?
