AZ Dynastes granti - Dynastes grantii - Male
Peppersauce Canyon, San Catalina Mountains, Pinal County, Arizona, USA
August 24, 2007
Size: 5cm
Was crawling on the ground. Fairly common in AZ. Apparently can be found in quite large aggregations on ash trees. Can be distinguished from the E Coast species by the lack of the two smaller points flanking the main pronotal horn.
