World Birding Center HQ at Bentsen-Rio Grande Valley State Park, Hidalgo County, Texas, USA
August 16, 2007
Photographed around 8 PM, just as the night program was getting started. Group members were curious why I would want to photograph a cockroach, but also intrigued by the unusual color. Critter was apparently feeding on fruit of Texas Lantana (L. horrida).
