Zabulon Skipper? - Lerema accius

Zabulon Skipper? - Lerema accius

Size: ~14mm
I think this is a female Zabulon skipper, but not 100% sure. Need a second or third opinion.

Thanks,

Scott

It Might Be....
It might be a female Zabulon Skipper - they look totally different from the males.

There
were some courting pairs flying around me that day. I had managed to get some pics of one pair. This one looked slightly different than the other females though. I have more images, but I can't say for sure if they are the same skipper.

I think there were many skippers and other species of butterfly there that day.

Male - maybe clouded skipper?
It has a stigma. It has the markings of the clouded skipper in the Kaufman guide. I'd think there'd be a comment somewhere about the cream/yellow fringe.

I didn't see anything that looked like it so that would be my guess just from the Kaufman guide. Nice shot.

Thanks!
I looked at some images of clouded skippers and they do look similar.

The
female Zabulon skipper images that I have show more smalll white patchy areas and a lighter brown color. I think Mo is right with the ID on this one.

I'll move it to the Clouded Skipper page and if someone with more expertise wishes to move it, then that would be great.
