Lytta stygica
Palm Canyon, Anza-Borrego Desert, San Diego County, California, USA

Looked up at Essig Museum & confirmed with John Pinto.
Lytta stygica is very similar to Lytta chloris, but
L. chloris doesn't occur this far south.

Color of Lytta stygica is variable--specimens ranged from
green to blue to black.
