Assassin bug? - Podisus

Assassin bug? - Podisus
Thomasburg, Hastings, Ontario, Canada
August 26, 2007
I found this bug on a milkweed sucking the life out of a (probably final instar) Monarch caterpillar. My guess is some kind of assassin bug, but couldn't find just the right one in the guide--perhaps it's something else altogether?

Stink bug
A predatory stink bug. A nymph, I don't recognize the species right now.

Thanks!
Checking through the guides, stink bug does seem right. I found this one in the genus Podisus that looks very similar (and is also chowing down on a Monarch caterpillar).
