A large grasshopper seen in a suburban yard just before dusk.

Looks awfully lot like Melano
Looks awfully lot like Melanoplus bivitattus - Two striped Grasshopper. There are a lot of these down here in the Hudson Valley. See my images if you like (page 5) - I've shot this Grasshopper a number of times.
