Fly - Rhagio tringarius

Fly - Rhagio tringarius
Woodbridge, New Haven County, Connecticut, USA
July 13, 2017
Attracted to lights at front of house. I got only this one photo, and it flew away before I could measure it, but it seemed on the "largish" size to me, around 1 cm or so, maybe larger. Morphologically, it looks similar to some type of Ant-decapitating Fly (Apocephalus), but hoping for a fly expert to make a proper ID

Thanks!
Thanks for the initial Family placement that puts it somewhere other than where I was assuming. In comparing with lots of photos online (here and elsewhere), I'm wondering if this might be Rhagio tringarius (or is this the type of situation with enough variation that a photo alone can't be that specific?)
