A still slightly blacker...
individual of Myzinum. There seems to be quite a plenty of them in this place. On the other hand, they are certainly very striking on the field.

 
Funny, I never saw many wasps until recently.
That goes particularly for this park. Now they're among my favorites. I think what's happened is that I spend less time walking the trails - where they're hunting and therefore hard to spot and shoot - and more time stationing myself by the few blooming plants. (We've had a terrible drought. Normal rain fall is about 14 inches annually, and last year it was around 2.)
